I have always loved the creative process. I want the painting to evolve from a clean white surface to a well-designed painting. I took workshops with Local and National Artists that told me to push myself – to paint what I felt. From those workshops I took away a new way of looking at everything. My primary purpose of painting is to evoke feelings and emotions. I want to do this though texture, color, shape and good design. If I am successful you can let yourself go and let the energy and spirit of the painting carry you on an exciting journey.
Marti's artwork is in many private and corporate collections.
Her pieces have been exhibited in the Virginia Watercolor Society exhibitions and numerous Central Virginia art shows where her work has received many awards and honors. Marti works predominantly in watermedia, collage and mixed media.
